We carry premium feed for horses, chickens and poultry, pigs, cows, sheep, dogs, and cats. Each category includes multiple products in various sizes and formulations — for example, horse feed ranges from grain and pellet mixes to hay supplements and electrolytes. We also carry feeding equipment including salt lick feeders, mineral tubs, and automatic waterers.

Most of our feed products are available in multiple bag sizes, typically ranging from small trial sizes (5–10 kg) to large farm bags (20–40 kg). Exact sizes vary by product and are listed on each product page. If you need a bulk quantity not listed, contact us and we can often accommodate.

Start with the animal type and age (foal vs. adult horse, broiler vs. layer chicken, etc.), then consider activity level and any specific health requirements. Each product page includes a feeding guide with recommended amounts and use cases. If you are unsure, call or email us — we are happy to talk through your specific animals and recommend the right products.

Yes. We ship via Purolator and Canada Post to all provinces and territories. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and order weight. Large or heavy orders (bulk feed bags) may have higher shipping costs — local delivery or pick-up is often more economical for large quantities.

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days. Delivery estimates after shipping: BC 2–5 business days; Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba 4–7 business days; Ontario and Quebec 5–10 business days; Atlantic provinces and territories 7–14 business days. These are estimates, not guarantees. Heavy feed orders may require additional handling time.

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location and the weight of your order. Animal feed is heavy and shipping reflects the actual carrier cost. For large orders, local delivery or pick-up in Abbotsford is usually the most cost-effective option.

Yes. Pick-up is available from our Abbotsford location at 278 Montesina Ave. We are also listed on Google Maps with current hours of operation. Select "pick-up" at checkout or contact us to arrange a time.

We offer a 30-day return policy on all items. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Opened feed bags can be returned if the product is defective or not as described. See our returns page for the full process.

Email us at balkanfarms1@gmail.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We will respond within 1–2 business days with return instructions. Refunds are issued to your original payment method once we receive and inspect the returned item.

Contact us at balkanfarms1@gmail.com as soon as possible with your order number and a photo of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or full refund including shipping costs. Feed bags can occasionally be punctured in transit — we stand behind every order.

Some of our products contain coccidiostats or other additives for specific age groups (e.g., starter chick feed). These are clearly labelled on the product page. Always read the label before feeding, especially when mixing products or feeding to multiple animal types.
